The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four suspected cultists allegedly operating in the Lekki, Ajah and Elemoro areas of the state.

The suspects were arrested between October 2 and 9, 2026, following intelligence reports received by police operatives, according to the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi.

The suspects were identified as Arisekola Ojo, 32; Oluwatobi Oyewole, 29; Oluwaseyi Odunewu, 32; and Olumagba Ifatope, 29.

The police said they were arrested over their alleged involvement in conspiracy and membership of an unlawful society.

According to the command, information obtained during questioning led to a search of Odunewu’s residence, where operatives recovered a locally made cut-to-size gun.

The police said the suspects had provided useful statements, adding that investigations were ongoing to apprehend other individuals allegedly linked to the activities and recover additional firearms.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Tijani Fatai, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling cultism and other criminal networks.

He urged residents to provide credible and timely information to security agencies to help improve safety across the state.
