 Police confirm rescue of three kidnapped victims in Kwara

Kwara Police Command has confirmed rescuing three recently kidnapped victims in the state.

A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, in Ilorin on Thursday, gave the names of the rescued persons as Divine Favour, Tosin Arogundade, and Mariam Salihu.

He said that the victims were saved unhurt and had since reunited with their families.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, the victims were rescued through the joint effort of the police, local hunters, vigilantes and their families.

The commissioner guaranteed the public of the command’s efforts at mitigating criminal acts in the state.

“The command also wishes to reiterate its readiness to confront and bring all forms of criminality in the state to their knees.

“Effort is in top gear to get the abducted 300-Level female student of the Kwara State University rescued, as we are closing in on the suspects,” he said.
