Present your PVC, Ejigbo APC youth leader, Ogunmefun challenges Peter Ajayi

While waiting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s primary elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 29, the Youth Leader of the party in Ejigbo, Babajide Ogunmefun, has challenged one of the chairmanship aspirants in Ejigbo LCDA, Mr. Peter Ajayi, to present his permanent voter’s card (PVC), alleging that he has never participated in elections in the local council area.

The youth leader charged Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ask for Ajayi’s voter’s card which he (Ajayi) used in voting in the last election or he should be relieved of his office.

“We are very sure that Mr. Peter didn’t participate in the election that brought in Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu rather, he turned it to be a business venture,” he said.

Equally speaking, the APC youth leader of Ailegun ward, Ejigbo LCDA, Ms Sola Iyiola, also challenged the aspirant to tell the youths of Ailegun his polling booth number and location.

She said: “We know ourselves in Ailegun ward and Mr. Peter Ajayi is not part of us. Mr. Peter Ajayi is alien to the voting family of Ailegun ward in Ejigbo. We recall during the chairmanship aspirant screening exercise, Mr. Peter Ajayi claimed he forgot his voters card at home. Subsequently, he was disqualified but with network of chief of staff, the committee asked him to reappear before it. Our sources believed that Mr. Peter doesn’t have a voter’s card at all. He has been a roaming about party member of the APC. The entire youths of Ejigbo are saying ‘produce your voter’s card for public within 24hrs or we commence a strong petition to Mr. Governor.”

However, Ajayi had disputed reports by ECHONEWS, a community newspaper that he was disqualified from the primaries by the Babatunde Ogala–led screening committee.

The newspaper later reported that “the resolution of the committee members to disqualify Ajayi was overruled by its chairman, Mr. Babatunde Ogala, SAN who gave Ajayi up to Monday May 17 ( this morning) to submit the originals of his credentials.”
