Sanwo-olu approves reduction in LASU tuition fee

Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu has given approval for the reduction of tuition fee of students of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab announced this on his Twitter handle on Friday.
The tweet reads: “Flash, Lagos State government reduces tuition fee for students of Lagos.”
Mr. Wahab when contacted, said the Governor of Lagos State had given approval for the reduction in tuition fees.
He added that the step was to fulfill the Education agenda of the Sanwo-olu administration, one of the pillars in the THEMES agenda.
Also, to ensure the provision of qualitative education at an affordable to all and sundry, irrespective of class, gender, ethnicity, race, among others.
The school management had in December last year increased the tuition fees for fresh students from N25,000 to N67,048.50 per session.
The students had protested the hike in tuition fees and demanded a reversal within two weeks.
