Tinubu slams Atiku over criticism of administration
President Bola Tinubu has hit back at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his criticism of the Federal Government, accusing the former presidential candidate of lacking the moral authority to question his administration.
The President said Atiku’s record in public office, including the privatisation programme carried out during the administration in which he served, should be subjected to scrutiny before he criticises the current government.
Tinubu also alleged that pension obligations remained unresolved during Atiku’s time in government, arguing that Nigerians should assess the performance of previous administrations alongside that of the current one.
The President maintained that his administration remains committed to implementing reforms aimed at improving the economy and addressing the country’s challenges despite criticism from the opposition.
His remarks come amid an exchange of statements between both political leaders over the state of the nation and the Federal Government’s policies.
