 Uber Driver dies in Lagos while conveying Reverend Sister

Anthony Okafor, a driver with Uber has died while conveying a passenger, said to be a reverend sister, to a destination in Lagos State.

Okafor reportedly picked the woman from the Ikeja airport and started coughing and gasping for breath in the Egbeda area, where he stopped the car.

His condition was said to have worsened as some good Samaritans rushed him to a hospital for treatment.

A source noted that Anthony Okafor drove a Toyota Camry with number plate EPE 869 GK.

“He was rushed to the Talent Hospital in Egbeda, Lagos State, where he was confirmed dead.

Sources claimed Okafor’s remains had been released to his family for burial.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, had ordered a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
