Irate youths were protesting against the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Agency (Task Force) as the officers of the agency allegedly killed a bricklayer in the early hours of Tuesday.

The deceased identified only as Dare was said to have been knocked down by the taskforce team around 6 am in the Oshodi area of the state.

The deceased’s cousin, Adewale, said Dare was on his way to the site when he was knocked down by the taskforce team who were chasing a danfo driver.

The development led to outrage by youths in the area as they protested Dare’s death at the Bolade Oshodi office of the agency.

Adewale who earlier alleged that the deceased’s lifeless body was not released to the family said he had been released and burial arrangements were in place.
