Covid-19: House of Reps member, Hon. Dawodu gives palliatives to constituents

As part of effort to cater for his constituents during the Convid-19 pandemic lockdown in the state, the Member, Federal House of Representatives, Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1, Hon. Bashiru Dawodu, has given financial support to the needy members in the constituency.

Addressing the people, Dawodu explained that hundreds of people have been given funds since inception to meet their needs and most importantly to cushion the hardship the stay-at-home order has brought on them.

According to him, none of the beneficiaries received less than N10,000 as support fund while some collected as much as N50,000, adding that the fund was distributed across all political wards in Oshodi LGA.

“It was already in our programme to provide financial assistance to our people. This was made urgent with the coronavirus economic crisis. In this time of lockdown, many of our people are unable to generate income especially the traders, market women and daily workers. There is a lot of hardship now. My hope is that this gesture will help to alleviate some of this,” Dawodu said.

Dawodu also unveiled his upcoming programmes on Education, Health, Jobs, Poverty alleviation and empowerment.
