 #EndSARS: Judicial Panel may summon Fashola, Sanwo-Olu, others, over Lekki shooting

The lawyer representing #EndSARS protesters before the Lagos State Judicial Panel set up to probe SARS-related cases, Adesina Ogunlana, has asked the panel to summon the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others.

Ogunlana reportedly made the request in an application submitted to the Judge Emeritus Doris Okuwobi, the Panel Chairman.

He said that the proposed invitees were in a position to provide useful information concerning the alleged shooting of Lekki #EndSARS protesters.

The proposed invitees include: Seyi Tinubu, CEO of Loatsad Promomedia Ltd; Babatunde Fashola, Minister for Works and Housing; Managing Director, Oriental Hotel; Divisional Police Officer, Maroko Police Station; and Lekki Concession Company (LCC) Officials in charge of information Technology Intelligence and Security.

In his application, Ogunlana also requested the summoning of officials from seven private and public hospitals, including Chief Medical Director, Lagos Island General Hospital; Chief Medical Director, Reddington Hospital, Lekki and Victoria Island; and Chief Medical Director, Grandville Hospital, Ajah.

Others include Chief Pathologist, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja; the Provost, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH); and the Chief Medical Director, Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos.

“They [the invitees] have have played certain roles to qualify as being part of those who can give relevant and useful information to the Panel for use to it purpose as regards the ‘LEKKI SHOOTING’.

“We intend to interview such before the Panel by the kind permission of the Panel,” Ogunlana put forward in his application.
