By Emmanuel Awosika

An attack on the palace of Oba Samuel Fadahunsi, ruler of Isinigbo in Akure North Local Government Area, has left two people dead.

It was gathered that the two victims included the Oba’s brother, and personal driver.

Confirming the report, Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said driver died inside one of the cars set ablaze by the attackers, while the monarch’s brother died after suffering gunshot wounds.

However, the police spokesman said the security operatives have handled the situation and restored calm to the area.

The Isinigbo community and the neighbouring Ude have reportedly been locked in a deadly conflict caused by a land dispute.
