FRSC disowns fake recruitment notice
The Federal Road Safety Corps has disowned a viral notice directing applicants who were not shortlisted for its 2026 recruitment exercise to report to FRSC camps for verification.
The Corps, in a statement on Sunday, described the notice as fake and unauthorised, saying it did not issue any directive asking applicants to report to its offices, camps or training institutions.
The circulating notice had directed applicants who were not shortlisted or had not received invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before September 25, 2026.
The FRSC said the information was false and should be disregarded.
“The Federal Road Safety Corps has categorically disowned a viral notice circulating on social media directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before 25 September 2026. The notice is fake, unauthorised and should be disregarded,” the Corps said.
It warned applicants against acting on the notice or visiting any FRSC facility based on the information.
The Corps said applicants should rely on official communications for updates concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise.
The FRSC commenced its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise in July, while its recruitment portal currently shows that applications are closed and that existing applicants will be contacted for subsequent stages.
The Corps also advised applicants to be cautious of individuals requesting money or personal information in connection with the recruitment exercise.
