The marriage between the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and Queen Aanu is over as she has taken the bold step to leave the Palace.
The young queen left the palace unceremoniously.
Interestingly, she is the second queen to leave the palace after Queen Ajoke Ola moved out of the palace some months ago.
When the news broke out via a popular blog on Instagram recently that Queen Anuoluwapo has left the ancient Oyo palace, many were skeptical.
Why should that be when she had granted an interview to BBC Africa and spoken highly of the 82-year-old monarch as a great husband, her teacher, and a generous spouse who has made her a fulfilled woman despite the fact that she is in her 20s?
Aanu, the beautiful queen reportedly left the palace a few weeks ago when one of the young queens, Damilola was allegedly ill-treated by the palace authorities.
In a post shared on her IG page, Queen Aanu, raised an alarm that her life is in danger after she took the decision to walk out of her marriage with the monarch.
According to Aanu, she took the decision to walk out of the union as she couldn’t continue to live in bondage.
She said that since she moved out of the palyace, her life has been under serious threat. She said she recently survived a failed attempt to kidnap her.
She notified the public to hold the monarch responsible should anything happen to her or her children.
Just some hours ago on Instagram, she revealed via a post that her life was not only threatened but there were failed attempts to kidnap her.
