JAMB allows candidates to verify, upload O’Level results from home

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates seeking admission through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.

The new service initially covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), with JAMB electronically verifying candidates’ results directly with the examination bodies before uploading them to their profiles.

The Board said the initiative would reduce candidates’ need to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, particularly during periods of high patronage.

According to JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the system would also address challenges associated with manual result uploads, including misplaced certificates, fraudulent or unverified results and errors in entering subjects and grades.

Under the new process, candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN), select the number of O’Level sittings and relevant examination body or bodies, as well as their email address and GSM number.

Candidates will then make the required payment and provide their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.

After obtaining the code, candidates are required to send “VERIFY” followed by their Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.

Candidates with two O’Level sittings can subsequently log into their JAMB e-Facility dashboard and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”

They will enter their Verification Code, after which their verified results will be displayed.

JAMB said candidates must select between five and nine relevant subjects, with no subject selected more than once, before submitting their results.

The Board said integrating its e-Facility platform with examination bodies would enable candidates’ results to be checked against official records before being uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
