Super Eagles stars impress for clubs in Europe

Various Super Eagles stars playing in Europe put up an impressive showing for their clubs in matches played over the weekend.

Samuel Chukwueze of Villareal helped his side earn a 1-1 draw against Spanish giants Real Madrid on Saturday night La Liga game.

The winger, who came off the bench in the second half, terrorised the Madrid defence, eventually earning a penalty which teammate Gerard Moreno drove smashed past Madrid goalie Thibaut Courtois.

Another Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, was in fine form for his club Everton on Sunday as they won 3-2 in a grueling Premier League encounter with Fulham.

Iwobi, who played as a right wingback, was instrumental in the buildup to the Toffees’ second goal as he dribbled past three Fulham players on the right flank, before Calvert-Lewin scored following help from James Rodriguez and Lucas Digne.

Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun of Rangers FC also impressed as their club trashed Aberdeen 4-0 in the Scottish Premiership.
