The Chief of Army Staff has, General Tukur Buratai, has maintained that the Army did not kill protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.

Speaking at the 39 newly promoted Major Generals, yesterday in Abuja on Friday, Buratai said there were no corpses at the Lekki Tollgate, as opposed to wide-spread claims.

He went on further to state that individuals accusing the Army of killing protesters were seeing double.

His words: “I must say that the Spiritual Warfare Seminar we had last time, helped us during the last #EndSARS protest to the extent that there was no single corpse, but some persons were seeing double at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.”
