By Dayo Badmus

King of Fuji music, Wasiu Ayinde has given the reason he finally dropped his ambition in Politics.

K1, who is now the first Mayegun of Yoruba Land, speaking at the, “FUJI-Opera”event on Thursday at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, said his decision not to run for any political office was based on his hatred for “promise and fail” attitudes.

According to King Wasiu Ayinde, he does not want to make hefty promises to gain votes only to fail the electorates due to unforeseen factors.

Few months ago, K1 assaulted a broadcaster named Wole Sorunke in Ogun State, leading to calls for him to be stripped off his title.

The singer was largely rumoured in the run up to the 2015 General Election to be eyeing a Senate seat in Lagos.
